How Live Church Translation Works

From your sound system to attendee phones, Linguify turns a sermon into live multilingual captions and available translated audio.

The Translation Pipeline

STEP 01

Capture Clean Audio

Route a clean audio feed from your mixing board or audio interface into the Linguify operator dashboard. Dante workflows connect through Dante Virtual Soundcard.

STEP 02

Transcribe Speech in Real Time

Linguify transcribes the speaker in real time across 75+ speech-input languages. Cloud transcription can use custom speech-recognition terms for names, theological terms, and denominational language.

STEP 03

Translate Into Selected Languages

The transcribed text is translated in real time into your selected target languages. Choose from 115+ translation languages and configure up to 5 simultaneous translated-language streams.

STEP 04

Generate Captions or AI-Spoken Audio

Translated text appears as live captions. Where AI voice output is available, it can also become spoken audio using any of 250+ AI voice profiles.

STEP 05

Deliver to Attendees via Browser

Attendees open a simple browser link — no app download required — on their phone, tablet, or laptop. They choose a language and read captions or listen to available translated audio through their own device.

STEP 06

Manage From the Operator Dashboard

Production teams control sessions, active languages, voice profiles, NDI caption output with an alpha channel, scheduling, automation, and multi-campus monitoring from the operator dashboard. In-depth engagement analytics — listening time, language demand, new versus returning listeners, and visit frequency — are available for a single site or combined across campuses.

The Attendee Experience

Attendees follow a simple browser-based workflow with no app to install.

Scan QR Code or Open URL

A QR code displayed on screen or a short link in the bulletin takes attendees straight to their language stream in any browser.

Choose a Language

The listener page — available in 30+ interface languages — lets attendees pick their preferred language from the active streams.

Read Captions or Listen

Attendees read live translated captions on screen or, where voice output is available, tap play to hear translated audio through their phone speaker or earbuds.

The Production Team Experience

Operators manage core translation and production controls from the operator dashboard.

Connect Audio

Route a clean feed from your mixing board, Dante Virtual Soundcard, or another audio device into Linguify. Device status and audio levels are visible to operators.

Configure Languages & Voices

Select target languages, assign available AI voice profiles or route an interpreter microphone, set caption styling, and configure NDI output for broadcast software.

Start the Service

Launch translation manually or schedule service startup. Monitor audio levels, caption output, listener counts, and language streams in real time.

Multi-Campus Administration

A centralized view brings status, analytics, and service controls together for connected campuses.

Central Dashboard

Enrolled campuses appear in the Global Overview. New sites can self-enroll for approval, with optional auto-approval.

Live Monitoring

See real-time status, audio levels, active language streams, and listener counts for every campus. Identify issues before they become problems.

Combined Analytics

Engagement data and follow-up queues can be viewed across configured sites for organization-wide visibility.
